"For Your Love" is a new single that boasts a gothy journey into underground rock with red hot guitar licks, a primal surfy drumbeat and thumping bass to fatten up a psychedelic guitar experience of some wily character in some far-off manor with jellybean eyes and an electric appeal.
Yearning for an otherworldly tone, Riley wrote out the intro line and first verse of "For Your Love" while dressed as a pirate for Halloween circa 2021. Everyone's been there, right? Gotta get in the mindset of your character. Circling back to this spooky tune years later, Riley completed the remaining pieces in summer 2024. As the band reassembled for the release of "Songs for Road Trippin'," we all met (Riley, John, Fuzz and Cam) in the studio on one of the hottest days of the year, 9/4/24. While never having played the song together, the band channeled lyrics, "I'm roaring like a bonfire ..." to lay down a completed vision for what this song needed to become.
